Dean/Castiel
The Baking Angel by [livejournal.com profile] tiptoe39 ([livejournal.com profile] au_bigbang)
Castiel and Gabriel have been running their bakeshop for thirty years, waiting for the Vessels to show and signal the end of the world. When the waiting ends, the two brother angels find their loyalties -- and their world -- changing. Romance, brotherly love, and a hefty dose of brown sugar.
This was an absolute joy to read. It's well characterised (Gabriel especially) and really sweet (pun intended). I can't rec this one enough

Merlin/Arthur
The Seven Ages of Sleep by [livejournal.com profile] lou_angel
Just as life can be tracked through the Seven Ages of Man, so the journey Merlin and Arthur's relationship can be seen through seven stages...of sleep.
Funny, scmoopy, sweet and adorable. I loved it.

J2
In A Faraway Land You'll Find Yourself by [livejournal.com profile] dugindeep
In his day-to-day life, Jensen is never put first or regarded as anyone with purpose. He works for his dad, lives in his brother’s shadow, can’t keep his boyfriend a priority, and has mostly given up on himself. One magical cup of coffee transports him to the land of Cassidonia, a fantasy land that he can’t traverse on his own.
The tale says the Fair Child will slay the monster keeping watch at the unruly queen’s castle, and all of Cassidonia says Jensen’s the one to do it. In this world, he has to decide if he’ll move on without much effort to change his life, or live up to his destiny and save Cassidonia and return it to the rightful rule of the princess-in-waiting.

I was really starting to get despondent at the lack of [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang fics I had to rec this week and then this one came along at the last minute to save the day. I should have known I would love it. One of my favourite J2 authors coupled with one of my favourite genres of AU fic. It's a beautiful fairy tale style story with hints of Alice in Wonderland and Neverwhere. Brilliant. And be sure to check out the art for this. It's wonderful, and you can tell the artist put a lot of effort into it.
hils: (Misha is twitterking)
I totally missed that Misha has redecorated his Twitter page until [livejournal.com profile] piperdox pointed it out. Cyborg eye ftw! LOL.

I think we can add photo fixing along with dancing to the list of things Misha can't do ;)

It's sunday, and if you are reading this in real time, shame on you. This is the Lord's day. Repent. http://twitpic.com/1yhau4

For all of those of you who just replied. Let's meet up when we get to hell and have a drink!

FUCK YEAH WIMBLEDON! This is the one and only time of the year that I have any interest in any sort of sporting event. Got the Wimbledon app on my phone and am slightly disappointed I can't watch the matches using it, but I've got the centre court radio on so I can follow what's happening.

I don't even care who wins (but it will probably be Federer). I just like watching good tennis. Last year I said I was going to go and watch it this year but alas I lack the funds or the time to get to London :( Maybe next year.
hils: (Gabriel is epic)
He is so adorable. No, really. I am so excited for ChiCon/A5. Y'all should go vote. I tried but I'm not sure I'm doing it right. Do I need to be logged in? Every time I voted it just took me back to the voting page

Richard here. For starters, Happy Father's Day to all dads out there. Now, on to "Supernatural" business. Konstancja, a proud, card carrying member of this fan page, brought to my attention my nomination for "Best Guest Star" on the Television Without Pity website. (http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/tubeys/nomin...ees.php)

I visited the site and discovered that "Supernatural" is all over the place! "Best Badass" - Misha Collins nominated, "Favorite Actor" - Jared, Jensen, and Misha all nominated - to name a few. Here's my pitch - Let's show everyone in TV land what "Supernatural" fans are made of and flood that site with votes for all things "Supernatural." In my category (Nomination 17, "Best Guest Star") I'm up against other "Supernatural" standouts Kurt Fuller and Mark Shepherd. That's classy company! You don't have to vote for me, just make sure you vote "Supernatural." Let's show the rest of the world what they're all missing. Go to http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/tubeys/nominees.php and cast your vote today. Give 'em hell, people!

That's all for now. Toodles.

-Richard
