Castiel and Gabriel have been running their bakeshop for thirty years, waiting for the Vessels to show and signal the end of the world. When the waiting ends, the two brother angels find their loyalties -- and their world -- changing. Romance, brotherly love, and a hefty dose of brown sugar.
This was an absolute joy to read. It's well characterised (Gabriel especially) and really sweet (pun intended). I can't rec this one enough
Merlin/Arthur
The Seven Ages of Sleep bylou_angel
Just as life can be tracked through the Seven Ages of Man, so the journey Merlin and Arthur's relationship can be seen through seven stages...of sleep.
Funny, scmoopy, sweet and adorable. I loved it.

In A Faraway Land You'll Find Yourself bydugindeep
In his day-to-day life, Jensen is never put first or regarded as anyone with purpose. He works for his dad, lives in his brother’s shadow, can’t keep his boyfriend a priority, and has mostly given up on himself. One magical cup of coffee transports him to the land of Cassidonia, a fantasy land that he can’t traverse on his own.
The tale says the Fair Child will slay the monster keeping watch at the unruly queen’s castle, and all of Cassidonia says Jensen’s the one to do it. In this world, he has to decide if he’ll move on without much effort to change his life, or live up to his destiny and save Cassidonia and return it to the rightful rule of the princess-in-waiting.
I was really starting to get despondent at the lack ofspn_j2_bigbang fics I had to rec this week and then this one came along at the last minute to save the day. I should have known I would love it. One of my favourite J2 authors coupled with one of my favourite genres of AU fic. It's a beautiful fairy tale style story with hints of Alice in Wonderland and Neverwhere. Brilliant. And be sure to check out the art for this. It's wonderful, and you can tell the artist put a lot of effort into it.
