Huh

I just read a rather awesome Jensen/Misha fic and as I was bookmarking it for my Monday rec post I was laughing at how I've gone from 'I don't ship Misha with anyone' to devouring Jensen/Misha fics.

Then I realised that Misha's comment yesterday about having Jensen's brickpants poster on the wall means that Jensen/Misha is a viable canon option now.

LOL!

What is it with the Australian cons and slash fodder? Last year Misha bent Jared over and this year he's talking about having posters of Jensen on his wall. Is this real life?

Jumping on the bandwagon

I'm sure most of my SPN fandom friends are aware of the latest wankfest that's going on. It's made all the worse by the fact that it concerns things that happened in RL.

I'm not naming names here, mostly because I don't want to draw any further attention to the person in question. I'm sure most of you already know who she is and what she allegedly did. If you don't I think it's hit fandom wank now.

I just wanted to say this: I wasn't at the event in question. I don't know what did or didn't happen there. What I do know is that people were left feeling upset and uncomfortable and regardless of whether it was founded or unfounded that's not cool.

I was willing to give the person in question the benefit of the doubt, but to be honest the more she shouts and bawls the less inclined I am to believe her side of the story.

I'm attending the event in question this year and to be honest I feel a hell of a lot happier knowing she's not going to be there. Regardless of whether she did what she's being accused of or not I'm glad I don't have to worry about it being an issue.

Time to confess

So, now that the author/artist reveals have been done I guess I should fess up that I am participating in spn_j2_bigbang this year. I kept it quiet except to a select few because I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make the deadline and I didn't want the embarassment of saying that I failed.

As it is I ended up submitting my rough draft two weeks ahead of schedule, have since completely redrafted and my second draft is now with my fabulous beta. Not quite sure how that happened.

So...uh...surprise?
