Sad things
Mar. 23rd, 2010 06:13 pmToday someone I barely know made me feel like a self-involved asshole (which I probably am)
I also has a taste of reality which is never fun. Lol. I've kind of got used to us having no work and being able to spend the day writing and doing other fandom stuff. Been so busy today I've got loads to do when I get home from Ros's.
Boss sprung a random trip on me this morning. Guy on one of our other sites called in sick so I had to drive over there to do a couple of jobs. It's about an hour away by car and fuck me I hate driving. I get so tense and stressed. Anyway when I got there it turned out the place that holds the keys to his office was closed so I couldn't actually do anything. FML.
But I'm on the bus to Ros's now for a nice meal. Yay.
And I typed all of this on my phone using the LJ app. Go me!

Books I've read this year
Mar. 23rd, 2010 10:21 pm2. Supernatural: Rising Son - Peter Johnston
3. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz - Eric Shanower
4. Brave New World - Aldous Huxley
5. Anansi Boys - Neil Gaiman
6. Nineteen Eighty-Four - George Orwell
7. The Wasp Factory - Iain Banks
8. The Incomplete & Utter History of Classical Music - Stephen Fry
This was a really great read. It felt like long episode of QI with lots of amusing little asides and interesting facts.
Next on the list is The Winter King by Bernard Cornwell. You never know, this might awaken my Merlin fic muse. We shall see.
Anyway, I just wanted to end the day on a happy note. I did a post on Twitter about how I'd had a really crappy and stressful day and that I hoped Traci Dinwiddie would post because she always makes me smile. She's like a ray of sunshine on my Twitter feed. Always so bright and positive and awesome.
Anyway, she sent me a lovely little message to cheer me up and I'm going to bed with a smile on my face now. ♥ ♥ &hearts
