Seriously though, I do wish them all the happiness and I'm praying for fandom wank to be at a minimum. And please god tell me those girls who were joking about trying to crash the wedding didn't actually do it.

1. People are not going to read your fic if you include things like 'I wrote this in a rush and didn't read through it again so sorry if it's crap'

2. If you're going to set a fic in the UK for the love of god get a britpicker! I appreciate most of your audience won't notice either way but I generally try and get an American to beta for me if I'm writing a fic set in the US and blatant Americanisms are a surefire way to pull me out of a fic
