Books I've read this year

1. The Woad to Wuin - Peter David
2. Supernatural: Rising Son - Peter Johnston
3. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz - Eric Shanower

That was pretty good. It's been ages since I read any of the Oz books and the art for the graphic novel was nice and folk-taley. Reminded me how massively different the book is to the film

Next on the list is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Not read any 'classic litereture' for a while so interested to see what it's like

I think I must have my ranty pants on this week. All sorts of little things are annoying me.

What's really pissing me off at the moment is something I saw on the spnpermanon comm but which I ignored because if people are too chickenshit to post things under their names then I'm not going to dignify it with a response

But then I saw a similar comment in one of my friend's journals this morning.

The topic is SPN big bang, and a number of people bitching about how bad last years was.

What the hell is it with these entitled people who seem to think the sole purpose of the internet is to amuse them? How can you make sweeping statements like that. There were 225 fics posted for last years challenge. I read every single one that wasn't wincest and there were some bloody good ones.

So, if you're going to bitch about a challenge here's some advice

Get off your ass and write your own. Can't write? STFU and GTFO. Really, the fandom is better off without parasites like you.

I have no patience for people who just sit around and complain without doing anything costructive. I bet these people have no idea the amount of time and effort it takes to write a 20k fic.
