1. The Woad to Wuin - Peter David

This was brilliant! I really loved the first book in this series and the second is just as good. Peter David has this uncanny knack for having me laughing on one page and crying on the next. Loved it. Already put the next on on my Amazon wishlist

Next is Supernatural: Rising Son which shouldn't take me too long as it's a graphic novel, and only a small one. I just hope the art is better than in Origins

A weight lifted

I don't think I've ever dropped out of a fiction challenge before because I always feel like I'm letting people down. However, I have just forced myself to drop out of pictures2words and I'm already feeling relieved.

It's my own fault for not reading the rules properly but there's just no way I can do a 5000 word minimum story in a month as well as the two other challenges I have due.

So, I do feel marginally guitly but at the same time I know it was the right decision. I don't know if I'm being unreasonable but a month doesn't seem like very long for a fic of that length. Most challenges run for longer than that or have lower word counts, right?
