Oh, wow. This is just an absolutely beautiful little story. So much is said with so little.

When Jared is just 8 and Jensen is about to become a teenager, they are the best and most inseparable of friends. However, their friendship comes to an abrupt end when Jensen turns 13 and decides they can no longer hang out. Then the Ackles family moves away. Meeting up years later the two must overcome old issues - both with each other and in their lives since they parted company - to find what they both now need: love.
OMG! This is amazing! Really well crafted and well written story with the added bonus of some brilliant accompanying art

I don't rec gen very often, mostly because I don't read gen very often. This though, is wonderful. She's captured the boys perfectly. I'm adopting this as canon

The Revelation
I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God. And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord, Holy and True, dost thou not judge and revenge our blood-Revelations 6:9-10 Dean wonders if this is where it starts.
This is such a good follow on from the events of 5.10. The author has captured perfectly Dean's attempts to cope with what happened and Castiel's continued hope. It beautiful and heartbreaking.

The Cold of Flesh and Stone
"Maybe I'm sick of spending Christmas elbow deep inside something's intestines, or standing in a grave somewhere in the freezing cold waiting for bones to burn."
This is a wonderful Christmas casefic. A perfect blend of drama, humour and romance.

Random stuff

Egads I am tired! And considering work is really quiet at the moment I have no idea why. Ah well, four more days and I finish for Christmas \o/

Had to take the work car out today and it's the first time I've driven anywhere in months. I'm amazed I remembered how to do it. I don't like our work car because it's this HUGE estage and I'm always really paranoid I'm going to clip something with the back of it.

Have totally failed to do any writing today and the muses are sad with me. Really must crack on tomorrow. I'm itching to write more Dean/Cas.

Btw you'll probably be pleased to hear that a lot of my Misha squee will be happening over at mishas_minions now so I won't be spamming your flist by talking about him all the time. Apart from this.

Someone has transcribed the talk from Collectormania so allow me to share my brief interaction with him

M: I didn’t do the accent, my bad. There’s a movie that I was in, we shot this last summer that was called /Stonehenge/ Apocalypse, which, who knows, maybe it’s not a great movie but will go down in history as having one of the worst titles of all time.
S: I like it!
M: you do? So, that’s one person. The audience of one. Ratings are going to be through the roof with you tuning in. And yeah, it’s gonna be pretty/great... I mean obviously you can tell from the title that it’s going to be a phenomenal film. Transformers? Yeah, there’s some sort of transforming.. terraforming.. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the term but I play a scientist – it’s one of those awesome movies where it’s like ‘he’s a scientist’ when actually they use that term to describe a number of the characters but we don’t ever get any of the boring details about what kind of science. /Scientist/. So I’m a scientist. Which is great, absolutely great.

Yup, that S (standing for 'someone') is me. LOL!
