Monday Fic Recs

I really need to start reading Merlin/Arthur and Clark/Lex fics again but it's so hard to keep up with everything. Is there a Merlin newsletter that lists all the fics that has been posted each week? Because that would help me a lot. I'm just on too many comms. LOL.

In an effort to have enough time I've started a self-imposed rule where I won't read anything that's less than 1000 words long. I just don't have time to read all the 200 word drabbles as well as everything else

Another 5.04 coda. This isn't actually as bleak at the author warns. At least Dean and Castiel have each other.

Once upon a time when Jared was five and dinosaurs roamed the earth, rubber duckies appeared out of thin air and submarines surfaced in Jensen's bathtub. Also, two very pretty boys got stuck in very sexy situations.
I don't normally like kidfics or age-regression fics but there was just something about this one. I was sort of just coasting along until I got to the submarine bit and then I nearly fell off my chair laughing

This is actually one of the first J2 fics I ever read but for some reason I forgot to rec it at the time. Very cute and funny. You should definitely listen to the song first though.

And since I'm on a trip down memory lane this is the first J2 AU I ever read and it's wonderful

Some of these things cannot be said often enough and I really cannot stress how important a good beta is. I've had some wonderful betas in the past but I've had some really poor ones too. A good beta can really make the difference between a fic being good or not.

Holy epic challenge

Hit me with suggestions, folks! I'm not going to discuss it as it's an anonymous challenge but I need ideas

For spnland I need to write a chapter from one of Chuck Shurley's novels. I.E I have to turn a scene from one of the episodes into prose. I can do any episode that has aired to date but OMG THERE IS SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM

So, what would you like to see?

I'm really excited about this one. I think it's the best challenge yet
