I see there's another one of those anonymous honesty meme things floating around. Sadly I have sworn off doing any more of those after the nasty comments I got in response to the one I did over Christmas

So, I won't be participating. If people have stuff they want to say about me they should have the guts to put their name to it. I still don't really understand why people hang around in journals of people they evidently don't like.

OOH!

Going to see Creation after work with Mum-Ra

This is a double squee for me because not only does it star Paul Bettany (did I mention that I love him?) but I've been really interested in Charles Darwin ever since I read This Thing of Darkness last year (brilliant book if you've never read it)

So I think it should be good :)
hils: (Reading Dean by me)
1. Sir Apropos of Nothing - Peter David
2. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark - Campbell Black
3. The Complete Fairy Tales - Brothers Grimm
4. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - James Kahn
5. The Cranford Chronicles - Elizabeth Gaskell
6. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - Rob MacGregor
7. Three Men in a Boat - Jerome K. Jerome
8. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil - John Berendt
9. Ramage - Dudley Pope
10. Antrax - Terry Brooks
11. The Time Traveller's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
12. The Threesome Handbook - Vicki Vantoch
13. Captain Alatriste - Arturo Perez-Reverte
14. Invincible Iron Man: The Five Nightmares - Matt Fraction

I read some of this in individual issue when it first came out. Absolutely stunning artwork and a nice tight storyline to boot. Good introductory read if you've not read any Iron Man before
hils: (Manga me)
1. Watchmen
2. The Young Victoria
3. The Boat That Rocked
4. Star Trek
5. Terminator Salvation
6. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
7. Creation

I was a little disappointed with this only because I was expecting it to be more about Darwin's relationship with Fitzroy and the voyages of the HMS Beagle. Once I'd settled into the what the film was actually about it was very good. The acting in it was stupendous from everyone, especially the girl playing Annie.

Saw a rather awesome looking trailer for a new version of A Christmas Carol.

And I think I saw surprise!JDM in the trailer for Taking Woodstock. Can anyone verify?
