Every time I lie down I start coughing. Don't feel ill at all apart from that but it's stopping me sleeping so here I am. Going to play online until I'm too tired to stay awake any more.

Well, my LJ icon randomiser has picked an appropriate icon yet again.

I've been awake all night. Maybe drifted off for half an hour or so but that's it so no work for me today. Rang the NHS helpline at 6am because I was getting a bit worried. As well as the cough I've got a tight feeling in my chest. They ruled out anything serious and advised me to see a doctor some time today. Need to ring up when the surgery opens at 8am.

So I'm just loitering until then. SPN is downloading but won't be done for another couple of hours.

Think I'll have a shower and then maybe try and have a nap for a bit.

Naturally as soon as I make an appointment to see the doctor I fall asleep perfectly fine. Ah well, still going to go and get checked over just in case but all of my symptoms seem to have gone now

So I managed to get about 3 hours sleep before Mum-Ra phoned me. Now I'm going to have some lunch and watch Supernatural

Verdict is in

Back from the doctor's and I am fine. Well, mostly fine. Tonsils and throat are a bit swollen apparently and the coughing is being caused by my sinuses. Been advised to gargle salt water and inhale steam.

My heart and lungs are fine though which is what I was worried about, and the palpitations I had last night were likely caused by a mixture of adrenaline and anxiety.

So that's pretty much good news. The doctor I saw isn't my usual one and she was lovely. Wonder if I can swap. Hehe!
