Even though I received some sad news this morning which I won't go into at this point I have things to be happy about too

Fancy meal is going ahead tonight. I have e mail confirmation that credit card details have been left with the restaurant.

I've been put forward for a job near York which sounds quite promising.

I've booked a hotel for me and Lou near the Merlin meetup. It's very appropriately named The Mad Hatter.

My boss just bought me a bar of Turkish Delight for no reason :)

I'm not American, as I'm sure most of you know but there is one thing I would like to see and it's totally selfish but I don't care.

I want to be able to visit the US without being made to feel like a potential criminal or terrorist before I've even got through customs.

I was lucky when I visted lexalicious70 last year but prior experiences and the experiences of others have put me off ever going back until things change. And I would love to go back and see my friends.

So the change I would like to see is a more open America that is not built around suspicion and fear.

I am vey vey drunk!

I was sort of expecting tonight to be really awkward since it was almost like a date but it was actually a lot of fun.

We talked about all sorts of things including fandom and Merlin meetups

We had a limit of £100 to spend and our total came in at £98.65. WIN

Now I need to go to sleep...or possibly vomit.
