I'm not sure this can be answered but does anyone know how far 1.5 miles is in terms of city blocks. We don't have city blocks here so I can't really say.

hils: (Reading Clark by me)
1. The Life of Nelson - Robert Southey
2. The Last Days of Krypton - Kevin J. Anderson
3. New X-Men - Grant Morrison
4. This Thing of Darkness - Harry Thompson
5. Hamlet - William Shakespeare
6. Superman Returns - Marv Wolfman
7. Shakespeare - Bill Bryson

This was a really interesting read, not because it taught me about Shakespeare, but because it taught me just how little we factually DO know about him. It did teach me a lot about Elizabethan and Jacobean history though and that was fascinatig

Next on the list is Volume 1 of the Buffy Omnibus

I bumped into one of my old friends from Uni while I was walking home from work so we went to the pub for a drink and a catch up. She's gone back to Uni to do a teaching degree and we were talking about how stressful it is not knowing if you're going to have a job soon

Naturally conversation turned to life and how all our friends are getting married and having babies. "You haven't changed at all since we graduated," she tells me. I agreed and said that I didn't consider it a bad thing as I am very happy with my life (apart from the job instability)

Then I thought about it and really I have changed a lot in some aspects.

I have more money for a start. LOL! But more importantly I am better at managing my finances.

I'm a lot more comfortable in who I am and what I enjoy and I'm not afraid to hide my hobbies and interests from people any more. Even my non-fandom friends know about my writing and my love of slash. I don't see that it's anything to be ashamed of.

I've always been quite independent and organised but getting involved with [livejournal.com profile] writerconuk did me loads of good. It's the first time I've organised any sort of event with people I don't know before.

There are things that probably will never change too. I doubt I'll ever get married and having babies is even less likely

I doubt I will ever own a house unless the property market changes dramatically or I spend the next 20 years saving up a decent deposit (after I've saved up for a car)

Some might consider my life choices immature. Staying single and not buying a house. I say pfft! I'm happy.

Life imprisonment for murder is worth it for some peace and quiet so I can write, right?

*stuffs earplugs in*

I think my Cappie crush was just a phase. LOL! He's still my favourite character but I'm feeling less of the crush-type feelings and more of the OMG HE'S JUST A BOY feelings. LOL!

Also spoilers for this weeks episode )

I am so not in the mood to write pron tonight, and since that's all I have left to do on my Remix fic it'll have to wait

Is there something in the air? There seems to be crankiness and sadness on my flist at the moment.

I'm blaming my bad mood on yet another bad nights sleep. I think I need to start wearing my earplugs again.

I took the scenic route home today so I could take some photos, and it was here that I ran into my friend. See the impact LJ has on my life ;)

To find out more about this look here

I can only guess times for these but I will be as accurate as I can

So, that's the end of my Week in the Life. If you want to see any previous posts I've tagged them all here
