Urgh!

I had a bad nights sleep last night. Because the heating in the flat has been off for a week (during which time it snowed) the place was bloody cold last night! I turned it on as soon as I got home but it obviously needed time to warm up and I was freezing during the night and had weird dreams about being cold.

Ah well, I'm up and...sort of ready for work. LOL!

1. The Life of Nelson - Robert Southey
2. The Last Days of Krypton - Kevin J. Anderson
3. New X-Men - Grant Morrison
4. This Thing of Darkness - Harry Thompson

I'm going to post a more full review on [livejournal.com profile] bookworms_cafe but in short this is one of the best books I've read in a long time. It's well written, engaging and even educational. I highly recommend it.

Not bad for a book that I only picked up in the first place because it had a pretty ship on the front cover. LOL!

Next is Superman Returns by Marv Wolfman. This is the novelisation of the film, rather than the graphic novel that was also made (although I fancy that too. Has anyone read it?)

I really want to write a snippet for this weeks episode, even though I hated it. I haven't missed one yet and I'm anal about this sort of thing. LOL!

I really have no idea what to write though.

Spoilery (for Traveller) ponderings )

Work has blocked Photobucket, so none of my icons (from my icon posts) are showing up and neither are my mood theme icons. My header is still showing though, which is weird as that's on Photobucket too

I think I shall just use my laptop from now on. LOL!

5. Hamlet - William Shakespeare

Today is clearly the day for finishing books as I've just finished my work book too. All the Hamlet discussion was done on my book filter so all there is to say is thanks to everyone who commented and helped me work through it. When I go and see it performed in September I'll actually have an idea of what's going on now. YAY!

Michael has such an expressive face. I could happily cap and icon every second of screentime he has on SV

I am also amused at how much reading Clark did back in the earlier Seasons instead of just leaping to assumptions

Driving lesson was shit again this week. Nothing specific, just lots of silly little mistakes that I shouldn't be making.

I really need to start studying for my theory test. I think it will help a lot

I finally watched Rosencrantz And Guildernstern Are Dead. I'm very glad I waited until after I re-read Hamlet or I'd have had no idea what the hell was going on. LOL!

I loved this film! I was in stitches through most of it. Especially when Guildernstern (or was it Rosencrantz) kept inventing stuff but it going wrong whenever he tried to show anyone. LOL!

Questions and answers was also most amusing. Tom Stoppard is an incredibly intelligent man

I want to watch Shakespeare in Love again now

I've just had a totally unrelated (and more crack-fuelled) idea for the clothes swap challenge. Now I can't decide whether to scrap the one that's half done and write this or stick with what I have

DAMN YOU PLOT BUNNIES!!!!

So, where can I find a list of those embarassing sort of self-help books that Clark likes to read? Are there famous ones I should know about?
