Awake

I feel surprisingly ok considering I didn't go to bed until midnight and then had to get up at 5:30. Even the pets were still alseep! They soon woke up when I got their breakfast out though ;)

This is probably going to hit me later so the plan tonight is pretty much come home, feed the pets, have dinner whilst watching Chuck and Heroes and then go to bed.

Only 2 more days of this! I can't believe I used to do this 5 days a week when I still lived with my parents!

My Joe Phillips fic is about 1/4 done and I'm going to write some more on the train this morning. I think I might be being a bit optimistic aiming to have it finished by the end of Friday but we shall see

Ack!

Well, I've gone from being quite calm and serene about my job to flailing and panicking.

We have just been told that, far from what we were told originally, it's up to us to find new jobs within the company when our current contract ends. If we don't then we'll be out of a job.

I really need to learn how to drive because chances are I'm going to wind up with a job that's not in York and I don't fancy getting the train to Leeds or Wakefield every day.

I was going to put off my lessons until after Christmas so I can buy presents and pay for my plane tickets to Texas

Not sure I can wait that long now

It's too early to be thinking about this but...

I've just been paid and I only have one more pay day after this one until Christmas. Which is kind of scary

James and other stuff

I have decided not to go to Collectormania or the gig in Cardiff. I can't really afford it. My plane tickets to Texas look as though they're going to be £100 more expensive than I thought, and I really must stop procrastinating when it comes to booking driving lessons.

So, my James ticket arrived in the post today? Does anyone want it?

On the plus side Ros is performing in a concert that weekend and she was quite sad that I wasn't going to be able to attend. I can do that now instead :)

In other news I am going to be a sad git and hold a Halloween party for one on Saturday since I will still be at my parents and they don't get back until Sunday. I shall order a takeaway (well, what else are you supposed to eat on Halloween) and buy some Halloween cakes and sweets and watch scary movies. Sleepy Hollow, of course, and I was thinking The Crow too. I dug out the soundtrack last week because I wanted to play Ghost Rider by Henry Rollins to Dave. That is a kickass soundtrack. I had totally forgotten. We had fun on Friday listening to it while the boss was out of the office ;)

I do love it when the characters take over a story I'm writing and do things I never even thought of.

Does that make me insane? Because technically the characters are in my head so whatever they do IS something I thought of.
