I still can't work out how to switch off features on the LJ home page. danceswithgary says there is an X button if you hover in the right hand corner but I don't seem to be getting one *pouts*

I had a strange dream last night that Lana was singing Popular from Wicked to Clark. I blame danceswithgary or possibly the crack in my brain

I'm back on a roll with my sick!Clark fic. I've realised I actually have no idea how it's going to end. I'm just going to keep writing and see what happens. LOL

Weekend plans

Derek is coming up from London this weekend so a bunch of the old uni crowd are getting together. I'm so bad. I only ever really see them when Derek is visiting. He and my friend Ros are the only people I've properly stayed in touch with. Mostly because I don't have a lot in common with the rest of them any more

I was an active member of the Christian Union when I was at Uni and that's not really who I am or what I believe any more.

But I digress. We've got a weekend of fun ahead of us and I'm looking forward to it muchly.

Chinese takeaway tonight and catching up and chatting. Tomorrow we were supposed to be going to the beach as a heatwave was forecast this weekend. The forecast isn't looking so good now so it depends on the whether tomorrow as to what we do.

Sunday will be lunch and then shopping I think.

Because I am an organised fangirl I've made my icons early this week since I likely won't have time to do it on Sunday like I usually do. I have all the bases so I just need to make them pretty and post them *g*

Word count

This is just a reminder for myself really.

Dave and I were talking about story word counts today and it occurred to me that I never check how long my stories are much beyond how many pages there are

So, out of curiosity, I'm going to do a word count on my SV fics when I get a minute this weekend (excluding the one drabble I wrote. LOL) and see how long they all are. It's going to be an interesting range I think. Shall Not Fade is obviously the longest and You Can Leave Your Towel On is probably the shortest
