Ok, this advert is getting a lot of air time at the moment over here and I have grown rather fond of it. It's completely insane and I have no idea how they came up with the idea

Stuff and...more stuff

In true British style I woke up this morning to hear the wind blowing and the rain lashing down. Typical weather for a holiday Monday over here. Naturally I just rolled over and went back to sleep.

I'm having a particularly lazy day today. I woke up at 11am and have just been lounging in bed reading fic. This is what happens when I make the foolish error of reading over one of my allegedly completed challenge fic and deciding it needs some 'tweaking' at 3am.

I've got a whole load of nothing planned for today. I will probably finish watching Heroes and make a start on my 10_hurt_comfort fic but that's about all I have planned

Since we get an extra day off tomorrow I might go and see AWE during the day when it'll be quiet. It all depends really. There's supposed to be an engineer coming out to fix our TV so I guess it depends what time he shows up (if he's coming at all. Need to check in the morning)

It's going to be a real shock to the system going back to work on Wednesday. I had 5 days off last week including the weekend, 1 day back at work and then I got sick and had to take Friday off and then we had the holiday weekend.

*sighs*

My brain doesn't want me to write today. In fact it doesn't seem to want me to do anything except sit here and veg. I'm feeling very lethargic. Too many late nights (or early mornings to be more specific) methinks. Must try and go to sleep at a sensible hour tonight

Future hols

I've been thinking that maybe next year I should go somewhere new for my holidays. I'm not sure where yet though. I should probably get Canada sorted first. LOL

Still, I have options:

1. I could go to Atlanta for dragon*con
2. I could go to the US writercon (if one is happening)
3. I could go to Vancouver and see if I can visit some of the places used in SV and SPN
4. I could go to Kansas
5. I could go to Cancun. richess, pychick, whatiusedtobe and I planned a trip ages ago but it never came to anything
6. I could go somewhere totally different. Maybe meet up with some LJ peeps

It's something to think about anyway

Fic read

Just finished reading Evolution by Artemis. Not going to post a link as it's password locked, and it used to piss me off when people gave me the link to locked fics. LOL

Anyway, it was very good and even at my rapid reading speed it still took me about 2 hours to finish it

Now I feel bored and listless and still in no position to want to write anything

jacqui_hw and I have been having a discussion about the end of shows. We realised that none of the shows we watched had an ending which we thought was totally satisfying. The shows that seem to end on really good episodes are either ones we don't like or ones we don't watch

Chosen for example, a good episode, but not perfect. The Gift would have been a much better way to end the show as far as I'm concerned.

So, I was just wondering what you thought. This is a poll for shows that have ended, remember.

Tomorrow is another day

I'm probably going to spend most of tomorrow sitting around waiting for the TV man to show up so I shall have another attempt at starting my fic

I really need to try and get myself into a Season 5 frame of mind, but I can't bring myself to watch any of the episodes because I hated most of them and mildly disliked the rest.

So, if anyone has got any inspiration (like good fics set in Season 5) then feel free to send it my way
