Tech failure
Apr. 5th, 2007 10:58 amI should not fiddle with my tech when I've the better part of half a bottle of wine. I got home from gaming last night and decided to pause the Prison Break download and burn Life on Mars for my dad (I have a decided lack of USB cables on my desktop PC. I need to buy a hub soon I think).
Anyway, for some reason I woke up at 3:30am this morning and decided to check on the burn progress. Not only had the burning failed but when I'd been fiddling around with cables I'd unplugged the modem from my PC. D'oh!
Unfortunately, now, my PC won't recognise my DVD writer and I'm not sure what to do to fix it. Every time I plug it in it says 'this device has malfunctioned'. I've tried restarting the PC and that hasn't fixed it and I don't think the writer came with any drivers to install. I am a confused Hils and will be narked if it's just randomly broken. I can't afford a new one this month, and possibly not next month either with all the cons I'm going to. Meh.
