Urgh!

The fire alarms in the flats went off a couple of minutes after they started last night, but the one downstairs has been going ALL night! It wasn't so loud that I couldn't get to sleep but I kept waking up because in the back of my mind I could hear it

There's no point taking the day off so I can get some proper sleep because it's still going off now. May as well go to work and just get an early night tonight. I'm hoping they'll have sorted it by the time I get home

Does anyone remember Ghostwatch? I've rented it to see if it's as scary as I remember it being. I suspect not but we will see.

Hee! I still remember all the controversy when it aired. I certainly thought it was real but then I was only 13.

Happy days

I've spent a morning doing actual work today. What a novel experience. LOL. It's been dead here for a few days, hence the massive amount of LJ spamming, and then this morning we got a flood of calls in. YAY! I hate being bored. LOL

And in more happy news, I have priced up some stuff and I can get my laptop, an external hard drive and a bag for less than £480. Considering I was willing to go up to £500 for the laptop alone I'm pretty pleased. I could splash out and get a slightly flashier laptop but I don't see the point really. The one I've picked has decent enough specs and will do what I want it to. The money I've 'saved' can go towards my trip to Canada *g*

Stuff to watch

As well as Convoy and Ghostwatch, Dave has now given me Season 1 of Rome to watch too. I caught the first couple of episodes on the BBC when it aired over here but then I kept missing it. I liked what I saw of it so I'm looking forward to seeing the rest. I'll probably just watch from the beginning because I can't remember much about the ones I saw

Ghostwatch

Considering it was made 15 years ago it actually stands up pretty well. It was less scary than last time but considering I was the same age as the older girl no wonder I was crapping myself when it was on TV. LOL

Still very creepy though, even when I knew it wasn't real.

I think I'm going to watch it again before I send it back, with the commentary turned on. I'm quite fascinated.

Hope I don't have nightmares tonight
