Not asleep again

It's 2:30am and I'm not asleep. Again. Evidently the people in the Smallville fandom have all come out of hiding as loads of Clex fics have been posted so I've spent a happy evening reading. Haven't written any of my Clex fic today though. Bad Hils. Still, all this reading I've done is giving me inspiration for the sort of quality I need to be aiming for.

Went into town today with the intention of buying some Smallville books. The graphic novel specifically and maybe the companion to the show. Alas I live in a small town with a small bookshop and they had nothing. Going out with Mum-Ra tomorrow though and I've been told there's a big Borders where we're going so maybe that will be better.

How did this show wind up taking over my life? I don't know, I wasn't looking for a new obsession and all of a sudden I had one. Well, it's nice to be excited about stuff again I guess and it's got me writing again which can only be a good thing.

I read a really sad post-Zod fic today. I don't want Clark and Lex to not be friends any more :(

And I realise I'm posting about Smallville WAY too much. Uh, sorry. It's the holidays and I have nothing of interest to say

Stuff

I didn't go to bed until 3am this morning and then Max decided to revert back to his Boiterous Puppy mode and kept jumping on me. When I finally got him to settle down Susie came and sat on my chest. It's a pet conspiracy!

Going shopping with the parentals fairly shortly and I forsee me being ready to crash by about 5pm. LOL. Why is shopping so tiring?

Had strange dreams

1. I met Michael Rosenbaum but I didn't know it was him. He asked me to give him a tour of York and I did. We were getting on really well and it was only when I got home and watched some Smallville that I recognised him. D'oh!

2. Lex got split into 2 people and was rather freaked out when he woke up in bed with a man he didn't know. Then Clark turned up with the other Lex and much confusion ensued. I woke up before the whole thing was resolved.

jacqui_hw has named her new ipod Lois after the character in Smallville. Ha! I knew she loved the show really *wins*

Last night I found out a woman I used to work with passed away a few days ago. She'd had alcohol problems for years. The funeral is on Tuesday and myself and one of the guys from my old office are probably going to go together (if my boss doesn't mind). It's weird but I only saw her a few weeks ago when it was mine and Greg's leaving party. She didn't look very well but you never imagine it will be the last time you see someone.

Shopping

Today I learned that everything is cheaper online. My Smallville books and Season 5 of the show. Thankfully I have an Amazon voucher which I will shortly be putting to good use.

I did buy some nice perfume with a Boots gift voucher I got for Christmas and Mum-Ra bought me the ingrediants for banana pancakes so it wasn't a totally wasted trip

Right, off to Amazon and then Dad-Ra and I are going to watch Superman Reurns, thus ending the Superman marathon. Thankfully I'll be back in York on Monday night where Smallville is waiting for me. WHEE!

Oh, and dude, send the bill for my frikkin' Asylum ticket already so I can pay for it and know for sure that it's mine!
