Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

I wish for...

1. Banners/layouts for my LJ. You know the fandoms that I like
2. Inspiration to do more creative things such as write and make icons
3. Icons that are just for me
4. Sweets/edible things that aren't available in the UK
5. A laptop
6. Plane tickets to Canada
7. Another Caribbean cruise
8. Fic. Maybe something from one of my newer fandoms such as BSG or Supernatural
9. Anything from my Amazon Wishlist
10. Christmas Cards from all my friends

I've finished cleaning the flat so it no longer smells of curry. YAY!

Today I have the following planned

1. Watched the TV shows I've downloaded and not watched yet
2. Wrap up the huge pile of Christmas presents in my room

3. Write some more of Press-Ganged

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In April I pushed [livejournal.com profile] akashaelfwitch in the mud (-17 points). In July I set [livejournal.com profile] odie77's puppy on fire (-66 points). In January I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In March I ate my brussel sprouts (1 points). In September I signed my organ donor card (28 points).

Overall, I've been nice (272 points). For Christmas I deserve a red Radio-Flyer wagon!

Sincerely,
Hils

Ok, we're back to the holiday pics. LOL.

We went to Bucklers Hard which is a village that used to build ships back in the days of Nelson. The HMS Agamemnon amongst others were built here. The village itself is still there and used as a museum now

After we'd visited Bucklers hard we went into The New Forest and had a picnic. It was very pretty and there were wild horses running around (unfortunately I didn't get any photos of them). I could just imagine Sean and Viggo going there :)

I got my first Christmas present today. From [livejournal.com profile] jacqui_hw's parents. They also got me a PotC Advent Calendar *g*. Guess it's time to dust off a Christmas icon. This one will do for now

Just watched the Strictly Come Dancing highlights as I missed it yesterday. I can't believe Ray got kicked off. WTF? I think the American Smooth is my favourite of the ballroom dances (the paso doble is my favourite latin). It reminds me of all my favourite Fred Astaire films :)

[livejournal.com profile] jacqui_hw just told me I look thin *loves her*

Oh dear...

Jared in Gilmore Girls is scary and wrong. He has Riley hair! And he's so young!

...uh, I don't have any icons of Sam or Jared on their own...
