Hello flist of mine. How is everyone on this fine summer's day?

My broadband still isn't up and running, hence my lack of appearance on messengers etc. Hopefully [livejournal.com profile] robhu has sent me a list of the things I need to network my PC and Jacqui's laptop so we can both be online at the same time and I won't be rushing to get everything done on an evening. Miss you all!

Flat is all unpacked and shiney now (apart from one box in the living room but that should be gone soon). There will be pics to come once the last of the stuff has been shifted. I had my first post-unpacking visitors last night. [livejournal.com profile] rancour and [livejournal.com profile] robhu came over for games and silliness. [livejournal.com profile] rancour and I played Stubbs the Zombie on co-op and it was unbelievably silly. The less said about the disco dancing level the better ;) Then we played a rather odd Anime style beat em up game

[livejournal.com profile] robhu and I watched Top Secret after that. I love this film but I get the feeling [livejournal.com profile] robhu wasn't too impressed. Bah! He has no soul! ;)

I was sent Sid Meir's Pirates by Screen Select yesterday. The Pirates of the Caribbean game totally ripped it off! They are essentially the same game only PotC is prettier. Yeah, so I probably won't play any more since I already completed PotC.

Our flat is unbelievably hot at the moment! It's going to be lovely and warm in the winter but right now it feels like an oven. Still, we can have the balcony door open so that helps.

On Sunday I watched The Wicked Lady and I was telling Greg about it on Monday. He argued that there has never been a good Highwayman film. I argued with Plunkett and Maclean but apparently that was quite rubbish.

So, can anyone recommend a good Highwayman film? I love them almost as much as I love Pirates

And no, Carry On Dick does not count!

I was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] drbillbongo:

Write 6 things about yourself, then tag 6 people to do the same.

1. I have Welsh, English and Irish blood in me. Mostly Welsh.
2. I cannot sleep naked. At the very least I wear my knickers.
3. I got a wasp caught in my hair when I was about 6 years old. I'm terrified of them now.
4. I always have my camera in my bag because you never know when you might see something pretty or interesting.
5. I will probably be a spinster for the rest of my life and I am quite happy with that.
6. I love to travel and if I don't get to go away somewhere at least once a month (even if it's just to visit my parents) then I get antsy and frustrated. I especially love going places on my own to meet new people

[livejournal.com profile] jacqui_hw is going to see Billy Boyd on Monday

I need to go away somewhere/stalk a celeb!

I've spent the last 6 months saving all my money for the move. I want to do something fun now!

Who wants me to come visit them?
