Well, it's been a very pleasant weekend so far. Didn't start well last night though. Trust me to get stuck behind two people who took FOREVER to buy their tickets. I ended missing my train by about 2 mins. Meh!
Still, all was well when I eventually managed to catch a train. Dad-Ra and boisterous puppy met me at the station and it was a quick drive home from there. We then had a lovely evening eating a variety of naughty snack food, drinking booze and listening to Russell Watson (I've converted him. WHEE!). Crawled off to bed at midnight and boisterous puppy came with me. He was lying on my bed, rolling around and demanding attention when I noticed what looked like a huge gaping wound on his throat. Took him back downstairs to show Dad-Ra and when we got a better look it wasn't as bad as I first though. Looks like he snagged the skin on his collar. He didn't seem to be in any pain but we decided to take him to the vets this morning to get him checked out
Was awoken this morning by boisterous puppy jumping on me (as he does every morning when I'm here for a visit). I had a shower and then we took him to the vets. Vet didn't seem overly concerned but gave us some stuff to clean the wound and some anti-biotics to stop it getting infected. He has to go back in a week for a check up. After that I took boisterous puppy for a walk while Dad-Ra sat in the car (his foot was really painful today so I told him off for walking on it too much yesterday). After the walk we popped into the pet shop to buy a new collar for boisterous puppy that wouldn't hurt him. We then picked up some lunch and came home
And now for the embarassing part. After we'd eaten lunch we fired up Soul Calibur 3 and Dad-Ra wiped the floor with me. He'd never even played the game before! I think I shall demand a rematch tomorrow. Not amused! Then we played a co-op game of Champions of Norrath and that was a lot of fun. It is SO much easier with 2 players. We did that for most of the afternoon.
Mum-Ra is back from the funeral now and she seems ok. Dad-Ra and I had more snack foods for dinner and now we're going to play Trivial Pursuit. I expect I'll get my ass whooped at that too
That takes us up to now really. Got to go and get the game set up. I've ordered Dad-Ra to stay sat down as he keeps trying to walk on his burned foot when he really shouldn't. Grr!

Weekend, an update

drbillbongo's dad made of my first visit to Germany. My Dad was very impressed with the whole thing, especially the opening credits and the PotC music. It was quite weird watching it. It feels like years since I was there for the first time but it was only 5 months ago. Aww, it was such fun
