Today

Today has been nice and relaxed. drbillbongo and black_claw introduced jedipirate to the first Hornblower while I wrote my Sparrington fic (pausing to squee over Horatio/Archie, Horatio/Pellew and Matthews). We then spent the afternoon playing silly board games and that was a lot of fun

In the evening we went to a Mexican steak house type restaurant and I had a lovely steak. Yum!

We then went back to black_claw's and I actually enjoyed letting the rats climb on me this time. I still refused to go near the scary mantis bug thing though

After that we came back to Bill's, played another silly board game and now it's time for bed

I fly home tomorrow. Sad to leave but I'll be glad to be home too. I miss my little house (and all my DVDs and my PC. LOL)

I finally had an idea for a Sawyer/Kate fic but I only have 3 pages left in my notebook *wail* Maybe I can pick up a cheap one at the airport tomorrow

Dreams and casting

I had a dream last night that I was Buffy. It was Season 4 and Spike and Dru lived in the same dorm as me. I kept popping down to discuss their evil plans with them. Then I died somehow and I was a ghost. Zombies were attacking the city and Willow had to save everyone

Also, on an unrelated note, don't you think Josh Holloway would make a great Steve from Poppy Z. Brite's stories. I'm going to picture him next time I read Lost Souls. Still don't know who I would cast as Ghost though

We just played an amusing card game all about beans. Naturally my thoughts turned to Beanie. LOL! There are loads of different kinds of beans and you have to grow them and trade with other players. Here are the different kinds

Worker bean - Beanie acting
Brandy bean - Beanie in a bar
Black eye bean - Beanie in a bar fight
Sick bean - Beanie after too much brandy
Coffee bean - Beanie recovering from the brandy
Red bean - Beanie on a hot day
Blue bean - Beanie on a cold day
Pig bean - Vig Beans as I liked to call them (NOT Beanie mating with Babe as drbillbongo suggested)
Fire bean - Hot Beanie
Soya bean - or Sawyer/Bean as I prefer to think of it

Still here

Stupid traffic. We were in a jam for bloody ages! I got to the airport half an hour before the plane was due to take off but the check in desk was closed and they'd given my seat to someone else.

So, they tried to get me on a later plane today but that was full too and there was nothing available tomorrow at all so I'm flying on Wednesday at the same time I was due to fly today. I had to pay 70 pounds to tranfer my flight, or Bill had to pay it for me anyway *sigh*
