Woke up really early this morning and although I'm still tired I couldn't get back to sleep.

Since I'm gonna be at work super early today I think today might be the best time to go back to my parents and get my camera. [livejournal.com profile] jacqui_hw I should be back in plenty of time to watch PotC :)

Hee!

Christopher Lee is performing at Earthshaker heavy metal festival in Bavaria

Am I the only one who finds this highly amusing. I'm trying to talk [livejournal.com profile] drbillbongo into going and taking pics

My mobile is broken again. It works fine but the display on the outside is solid black. I'm going to have to take it back to the shop (again) on my way to the station. Honestly, it would be so much more simple if they just gave me a new handset

"SHARPE SHOOTING - AGAIN?"

There has been quite a lot of press lately regarding the return of Sharpe to British TV screens. Whilst it is looking increasingly likely that our swashbuckling hero, Richard Sharpe will return to ITV, the producers, author Bernard Cornwell and the ITV Drama department are still holding preliminary talks to iron out some details.

What does look fairly certain at the moment is that Sean Bean will return to his role as Richard Sharpe and there will be one new film split into two parts for British Television, and one cinematic film for overseas viewing.

As and when I get further confirmation of what is happening, I will update our website or the society newsletter accordingly. For now, lets just celebrate the fact that after 8 years, we may be getting some more "Sharpe"!

UPDATE

I have been contacted by the producers very recently, and am pleased to be able to update you as follows.

"The producers of Sharpe, director Tom Clegg and production staff are in Rajestan, India at present for 8 days doing a recce for the latest Sharpe film, Sharpe's Challenge. Whilst there is still some way to go, we are now hopeful that all should be well, and shooting should take place towards the end of 2005."

This new film is NOT based on any novels by Bernard Cornwell, but will be a completely new story by a scriptwriter.

We will update this news as soon we have anything else to confirm.

I have my camera back. WHEE! I'll post the pic from Alnwick tomorrow as it'll take me a while to resize them all and whatnot

My muse has returned to help me with my VigBean fic. I got some written over the weekend and I know what's going to happen next. Now I just need to find the time to write it. LOL. I used to write so much quicker than this. I could churn out a fic in a week, sometimes over a weekend. Fuck knows what's happened to my brain
