Urgh!

I've been staggering around the house this morning. I'm SO tired. It's too bloody hot and I must have woken up every half hour or something. We Brits cannot deal with the hot weather! Yesterday when I went into town it must have been as hot here as it was when we were in Florida. Global warming anyone?

Had a fairly quiet afternoon yesterday. Was channel surfing and stumbled across Swallows and Amazons. Honestly, this film is largely responsible for my pirate obsession. I really wanted to be like the kids in this film and go sailing and meet pirates. LOL. I used to watch it all the time when I was little.

Once it had finished and I had Jacqui at my mercy in the living room (well, she was on the internet) I decided to put Equilibrium on. Poor Beanie :( I really wish he would make more films where he doesn't die. It's very distressing. Still, I'd forgotten just how cool this film is. Gun Kata is just as cool as bullet time.

After that we watched another Hornblower. Ok, the Hornblower/Captain Pellew love isn't even funny any more. It started out as a joke and now whenever they're on screen together or Pellew starts fretting about Hornblower and doing everything he can to save him me and Jacqui just start gushing. Definitely my Hornblower OTP although I can see the appeal of Hornblower/Archie too.

Big Brother: Now that Maxwell has gone Craig MUST be the next to go. Honestly, he is a compulsive liar and a pain in the arse!

Then work had to ruin it by introducing a bunch of silly rules that says we're not allowed to send out personal e mails work time. Right, I can't spend 30 seconds typing a quick e mail to Jacqui but the smokers can have 4 ten minute breaks a day

Tonight's Viewing

Hornblower has another boyfriend to add to his harem, this time in the shape of Paul McGann. Honestly, Horatio is such a boyslut. He makes Orlando look tame and monoamourous (is that even a word?). Horatio's true love will always be his Captain though

Big Brother: Ok, I'm down to merely liking Derek and Kemal now. The rest of them are bitchy two faced annoying twits. Orlaith is in the middle at the moment. I think there's more to her than we're seeing and it will become apparent at some point. Vanessa, Science, Craig and Makosi need to go NOW! Anthony, Eugene and Orlaith can go after them

Delayed rant

I meant to post this on Friday but I forgot. So here is my delayed reaction

ANGER!

I swear to god I was ready to kill anyone who drove a car on Friday

Incident 1: I'm waiting to cross the road. I wait. And I wait. And I wait. Not one car stopped to let me cross. I was stood there for 10 fucking minutes because of course slowing down to let someone cross the road would delay the journey by a whole 30 seconds and we can have that now. There are NO pedestrian crossings on this particular road so in the end I just had to run and hope I didb't get hit

Incident 2: 5 minutes later I'm crossing another road, halfway across when a car turns in without indicating and then the driver glares at ME because I'm in the road. This time I made gestures with my hands. If I'd known they were going to turn, ie if they'd used their indicaters I could have jogged across and not been in the way. Silly cow (the driver)

Incident 3: A furhter 10 minutes later I was standing at a pedestrian crossing when a car filled with chavs drove past and chucked a bottle of what I hope to god was water at me and the woman standing next to me. By now I'm thinking that all drivers are out to get me

So that was my dealings with motorists in a 30 min period and by the end of it I hated them all.
