Update

We've been told we're allowed back into the building but there's no electricity so we won't be able to stay there. The Letting Agency are going to look for somewhere for us to stay until things get sorted.

Plan is to go back to the flat, see how bad the damage is and pick up some stuff (assuming we still have stuff). After that I don't know what will happen

Obviously I won't have PC access after this so I'll have to keep you posted via supernaturalhel

Another update

We met our next door neighbours during the fire stuff last night and swapped numbers. One of them just called from their flat, and they went in and checked ours for us

Apparently there's a fair amount of water damage but nothing has been burned and our stuff looks to be ok, so that's a relief

Our Letting Agent is looking to put us in a hotel tonight and then I assume they'll move us into a temporary house/flat after that until they've had the carpets and stuff dried and the electricity is back on
