Mum just phoned to say that the eldest kitty is not eating at all now and it just spending all day every day just lying on the rug by the fire. She's taking him to the vet's tomorrow but said there is a chance he won't be coming home again

I've been expecting this for a while but it still hit me hard. She asked if I wanted to go and see him before they had anything done but I said no, if he's suffering I'd rather it ended sooner than later. I always say goodbye when I leave him just in case something like this happened.

Just trying not to cry again now

I feel like I should be doing something but I'm tired and feeling totally unmotivated to do anything apart from sit here
