I'm back, the gig was fab and I have LOTS of photos. However, my dad will be here to pick me up in 5 mins so I'll have to post them when I get back to my parents. Don't worry, it won't be long *g*

I'm back at my parents and the photos ARE coming. I just realised there's one I forgot to upload before I left so I'm just waiting for Jacqui to e mail it to me

In the meantime let me post about the two dreams I had last night

1. Sean Bean was the baddie in National Treasure (don't know the character's name), but right at the end he realised he didn't want to be evil any more and broke down crying

Now, I haven't seen the film yet but I'm guessing it doesn't actually end like that.

2. Dominic Monaghan announced that the Lord of the Rings cast was the gayest one ever and that he reckoned he could get anyone in the cast to kiss him. "Not Bean," pipes up Orlando, "he's the straightest man ever." Not to be deterred Dom bounced over to Sean and started bopping up and down sayin "Beanie, Beanie, come and dance with me." Sean reluctantly agreed and I woke up after that

Both of these dreams put me in a Beanie mood so I bought When Saturday comes for a whopping £6 (I love sales) and I've ordered National Treasure

Are Essex Boys and Ronin any good? I was looking at them in HMV but I didn't buy them as I wasn't sure what they were like

GJP!

(That's gratuitous James post)

Right, it's finally done. Here's my gig report with a selection of non-James pics to go with it.

Before we went to see the gig tonight Jacqui and I had pretty much decided that this would be the last time either of us went to see James. Neither of us are heavily involved in the Buffy fandom any more and it just felt like we didn't have anything in common with the people that would be going

However, by the end of the gig we have both ENTIRELY changed our minds about this. This one was without a doubt the best performance I've seen from James yet. The music has moved away from rock and more towards blues and folk, which suits James's voice much better. He admitted this during the gig, stating that whilst he thinks Charlie is an excellent song writer, he tended to write songs which were a little high for James's vocal range.

The gig itself combined new songs such a Civilised Man with older songs which he wrote for Ghost of the Robot such as Angel and Dangerous. There was also an interesting song about the history of blues music which James jokingly suggested would get him sent to Guantanamo if he played it in the US. On a lighter note was the song Katie, about a girl James met when she was working in the props department of Buffy. James had a bit of a thing for her but they never moved beyond friendship. He later found out she was gay but wrote the song about her before he found this out. He was laughing about it while he played it

The only thing which ruined the atmosphere for me was the usualy annoying people shouting for James to take his shirt off. He always takes this in good humour and handles it well but it did make me embarassed to be a fan

But that aside it was an excellent gig and I look forward to hopefully seeing him again soon.

And the pics of James are here

I shall be starting my Beanathon tomorrow. WOOT

I'm tempted to be anal and watch the films in alphabetical order

Would that make me a total freak?

How else am I supposed to decide which order to watch them in?
