Yikes

Well, I managed to go to bed quite early last night so I feel quite well rested

However, my subconscious is clearly starting to stress about my dental appointment at the end of the month.

I dreamed I went to the dentist and evil boss lady was the dental assistant, only she clearly didn't know what she was doing. Then I had my teeth checked and the dentist told me I had some sort of maggot thing living in my gum and it would have to be drawn out before the tooth could be filled. I totally freaked out and started bawling. Dentist didn't really seem to know what to do so he just handed me a tissue.

Then I had to take a maths test, even though I haven't studied maths since I was 16.

So yeah, plenty of sleep but not a great night

*Sigh*

After all the trouble kantayra has yesterday with the plagarism of her fic, I received this e mail last night

Hi Hilary,

ok, so there was a big discussion on plagiarism tonight, and I remembered seeing some fics that sounded suspiciously like ones I knew on B/S Central a while ago. Couldn't find the original stories back then, but tonight I remembered your name *blushes*.

Anyway, those fics at B/S C remind me a lot of two of your episodes from the Fluffy Files. Some stuff is changed a bit, some is simply left out, but other parts seem to be copy/paste and sometimes a few words are changed.

I don't want to accuse the author wrongly - or maybe she has your permission... Just thought I'd let you know and you can do whatever you want with this information.

I've only read the first one so far but it is almost identical. Some parts have been changed and she's cut out some of the plot but it's pretty much the same. I have to go to work now so I'll have to decide what to do when I get home

I'm tired, I've been at work for 7 hours and now I have to sort out this mess with my stolen fics. Bollocks

I've e mailed the owner of Buffy/Spike central, who thankfully is someone I know very well and indeed helped me out with beta reading one or two of my fics so she knows I wrote them about 4 years ago.

I'll see what she says I guess.

What's the deal with stop_plagiarism? Do I just post there if I don't get any results? I don't really understand what you're supposed to do

Mod of B/S C got back to me and was very appologetic. She asked me just to confirm that my fic has been stolen and she's then going to remove it from her site and give the 'author' a warning. If the person argues then her account will be deleted.

Have also posted the sorrowful tale to stop_plagiarism just in case she stolen anyone elses fics

It's a bit of a tricky one because she's tried her best to reword a lot of it, so as to cover herself. Someone should possibly tell her that if you steal a fic it might be an idea to give it a different title *eyeroll*

So, the matter appears to be pretty much sorted
