Did anyone see Three Celebs And A Baby on Channel 5. It was possibly the most scary thing I've ever seen. The animatronic baby was SCARY! And Caprice! Oh my god, I was kind of indifferent to her on Big Brother but seeing her in this made me want to evict her NOW! Not only did she freak out when the baby puked on her, but she snapped one of its fingers off at one point and kicked it on the floor the next day. DO NOT PUT HER IN CHARGE OF ANYTHING EVER!!! *shudder*

On the other hand, I have no idea who the two gay men were but they were totally adorable. They really cared for that baby like it was their own and actually cried when they had to give it back. Bless them :)

I'm really starting to warm to Orlando Bloom, and I'm not really sure why. Personally I don't find him that attractive and he's not the best actor in the world but there's just something about some of the faces he pulls that just cracks me up. The scene in Pirates where he does his "Aye, avast!" line, the look he gives Johnny just after that makes me laugh every time

Now we have Return of the King. First moment is in the extra scene where Legolas and Gimli have a drinking competition. Just the look on his face when he wins. So funny! And the little nonchalant shrug he gives when he jumps of the Oliphant. Hehe!

So, yeah, liking Orlando at the moment

Speaking of Return of the King, I have a question. Now, I'm not heavily involved in the LotR fandom so excuse me if this is a silly question. Why does everyone keep going on about the gayness of Dom and Billy? I thought maybe it was just a follow on from the Merry/Pippin love, but there doesn't seem to be the same thing with Elija Wood and Sean Astin. Have I missed something?

You know you're getting old when instead of you phoning to whine at your parents for help they're phoning you. I have been summoned back to Northallerton this weekend because my mum has bought The Sims and can't work out how to play it and my dad has bought a camera phone and can't work out how to transfer the photos onto the PC

Since I'm now 99% over the flu I'm going back to my New Year's resolutions this week. I've had a nice healthy lunch, I'm going to the gym tomorrow and I shall endeavor to at least get my Sparrington drabble sent to [livejournal.com profile] drbillbongo tonight. I'm also going to do an hour of my photoshop course after work as they've been writing to me and prodding me

Bah!

There is a strong possibility Jacqui and I are going to pull out of the SlayerCruise. It's just working out to be too damn expensive. At the moment it's looking like the flights are going to cost us about £450 and this is before we pay for an extra night in the hotel because we can only get there the night before, the excursions which we haven't booked yet and then spending money. We're gonna end up paying the cost of the cruise over again at this rate and I don't have that sort of money.

All is not lost though, we're thinking of investing the money we get back from the cruise on a cruise to the Caribbean which sails from England. We've seen some advertised on tv for a pretty good price. Jacqui is going to check online tonight and see how it works out. We have to decide by the end of this month as that's when the cut off date for the SlayerCruise cancellations is. There is a cancellation fee but it's not a vast amount in the grand scheme of things.

I am a little disappointed, but mostly I'm ok with it. I've been to cons before, I met all my online friends at Tampa, I've met Buffy stars. It really isn't that big a deal. There will be cons here in England which will be much more affordable and probably with better guests in all honesty.

So long as I get to go to the Caribbean one way or another I will be happy.

Ok, I realise the chances of this one are slim but I shall ask anyway. Over the last couple of weeks we've been seeing cruises to the Caribbean that sail from Southampton advertised on tv. Now that we actually want to have a look at the site they haven't shown the bloody ad! Anyone know the place I'm talking about?

We did see one ad for royalcaribbean.co.uk but it's not that one. HELP!

If you've ever been flamed on ff.net or just by e mail then go here

http://www.livejournal.com/community/ffa_flames/

Flame them back and see how they like it. Yes, it's childish and juvenile but I don't care. Communities like this get me SO angry and I'm not going to sit back and do nothing. Make your flames fluent and intelligent. Make them use their brains, assuming they have any

Hils has just declared war on flamers!
