I'm not going to work today and I'm going to try and see a doctor later even if it isn't my own. Despite the medication and vast quanities of sleep I don't feel any better at all and my throat is still really sore and swollen. I've also been hacking up brown phelgm which I'm guessing isn't a good sign.

Just hope I can get an appointment now

What a bizarre feeling to actually be alert(ish). I went back to sleep after my post this morning, deciding to see how I felt later on before deciding whether to annoy the doctor with my presence or not. I feel a fuck of a lot better that's for sure. My head is all stuffy and blah but my throat doesn't hurt at all now and I feel like I've just got a bit of a head cold rather than anything serious. I've also realised how massivly STARVING hungry I am. Since Monday morning all I have eaten is a bowl of cereal and a sandwhich. I've been sleeping the rest of the time or feeling too crappy to eat. I need to raid the cupboards and see what I have in.

So, I shall take it easy today and should hopefully be fit for work again tomorrow. New boss starts tomorrow and she makes Maggie Walsh look like a picnic. I very much doubt me being off sick on her first day would go down very well
