Just bought the wig for my Halloween costume so I'm all sorted now. I'm really looking forward to this. Halloween = FUN!

Can anyone suggest some good Halloween games that we can play at the flat next weekend?

When you were a child...

1. What did you want to be when you grew up and why?

I wanted to be a teacher. I always used to play games with my dolls and my friends. I don't really know why, I just wanted to pass on knowledge I guess

2. Who was your favorite person to do things with (excluding your parents)?

I used to spend a lot of time with my friend Louise. We used to go on bike rides, have picnics, play with our dolls and generally have adventures

3. Did you love school or did you hate it? Why? Did that change as you got older?

I wasn't much of an academic at primary school and I didn't really apply myself. I was always staring out of the window and prefered to read a fiction book over doing my homework. My teachers weren't very impressed with me. I got better as I got older

4. Was your family close? What were your favorite family traditions?

I don't think we were ever really that close. We all bickered with each other a lot and were mostly content to do our own thing. Christmas was probably the one time where we all had fun. We each had specific tasks with regards to putting up decorations so as long as we didn't get under each others feet it was a lot of fun

5. Did you think that being an adult would be cool?

I was really scared of growing up when I was a kid. I wanted to be young and carefree forever. However, I'm actually really happy now. I've got a great flat, loads of wonderful friends both online and in real life, my job doesn't totally suck and I get on with most people in my office

FQ TOPIC: Historical.

FQ1: If you were able to visit any time period in the past, when would it be? What is it about this particular point in history that appeals to you?

The Renaissance. I love art and culture and this is the time it was at its peak

FQ2: If you could meet any person from throughout history, who would that be? What makes them so special to you?

It would have to be William Shakespeare. Did he write his own plays? I could find out. I'd love to know if he really was the genius we think he his

FQ3: If you could reach through time and grab a piece of historical memorabilia, what artifact would you take and what would you do with it?

The ark of the covenant. Or something from the crucifixion. I'd use it to once and for all end the debate about religion that so often turns into war

FQ Quantum Leap: You have been given a one-time-only opportunity to travel back in time and interfere with history! Would you do it? Where would you go and what would you try to change?

I think I'd probably try and stop the assassination of Martin Luther King

The Work party thing has been sorted. A few people on the committee got really pissed off when they heard I was getting hassled by a couple of people. I had a meeting this morning and they were all really nice and told me not to worry about it and they appreciated the work I'd put into it. We've managed to get a few more people to sign up for it and the social club is going to cover any losses made by people dropping out

YAY!

I feel much happier now

Is there a specific icon in your user pics that you've kept for a long time and just can't bear to be parted from. Use it in a reply to this post and explain why you love your icon, then copy this meme into your own journal
