I slept until 1pm today. I'm still feeling fairly crappy and I wasn't able to take the afternoon off yesterday so I had sleep to catch up on.

REALLY annoyed about yesterday actually. The office hypocondriac* decided he was ill and went home at about 10am. I couldn't very well go home sick when someone else in the office had already done it. Grr!

*This is a man who had had more sick time this year than the rest of the office combined. Now, he does actually have something wrong with him but he plays this up SO much and uses it as an excuse every time he fancies some time off. He'll come over all weak and faint in the office and as soon as he is told to go home we see him walking at marching speed across the car park with no hint of illness whatsoever. Grr!

God I feel like shite. Can I just curl up and die please?

Every once in a while I go to see a Tom Hanks film, trying to convince myself that one day I'll see one where I don't hate him. The Terminal was not that film. The concept was lovely, the supporting cast were wonderful but Tom Hanks just pisses me off so bad! I can't even put my finger on what it is about him. Maybe it's the fact that he only ever seems to play these sort of fluffy sensitive characters. Maybe if I saw him playing a real asshole I'd like him a bit more. I'm not talking a Road to Perdition asshole. That was Tom Hanks being a sensitive asshole. I'm talking full on nasty with no redeeming features other than the fact he's cool. Never going to happen, I know.

Maybe I sould just stop going to see his films. It's never going to make me happy
