Mouth ulcers still hurt and I woke up at 5am in pain again this morning :(

Today is the big management meeting. Everyone from the CE down to the higher middle management will be there and me. GAH! Scary! The guy I'm standing in for told me that if I don't feel comfortable I can just sit there and listen. Knowing me though something they say will piss me off and I'll just start ranting. Meeting is at 9:30 so at least it will be over early on in the day

Hair cut after work! I'm really looking forward to it. I didn't realise how much my long, thick hair was pissing me off until I decided to have it all hacked off. I'm not really sure how I'm going to ask for it styled yet. Something low maintenance. LOL

Speaking of pissing off. Yesterday everyone at work was present with a booklet entitled '117 ways to write in clear english'. It was the most patronising thing I have ever read, going to the extremes of explaining what I full stop (period for you Americans out there) is for. I kept going from being deeply angry and insulted to laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of it. Hmm...surely anyone who went to school knows what a full stop is for.

Well, better go get ready for work. The sooner this meeting is over the better

Meeting and hair

The management meeting went well. Very well in fact. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming and I felt at ease almost immediately. My plan was just to sit there quietly but as the meeting progressed I found myself jumping in as thought and ideas came into my head. I ended up getting really involved and I even managed to get a couple of ideas quashed that I didn't think would work

At the end of it my head of division thanked me for coming and one of the other managers suggested I put my name forward to do this on a permanent basis. WHEE!
