I kind of hate the internet

...or I kind of hate me. Been happily playing Baldur's Gate for most of today and I reached a point when I got stuck. Now, in the good old C64 or Amiga days I would have just wandered around for weeks until finally I accidentally discovered what I was supposed to do next. Today I just popped online and checked through Google.

Yes, I am bad. But they shouldn't put these things online! Half of the fun of these types of games is getting really frustrated and wandering around every inch of the level about 10 times

*Sigh*

Must restrain myself next time I get stuck

Oh, and I feel I should get a suitably geeky icon for when I'm in roleplaying/computer game mode. Any suggestions for something I can use?

Dream

Had a weird dream that someone (I think it was Tom) wanted me to hang up a bearskin in the fangirl pad. I got really upset about the poor dead bear and when I woke up I was actually crying.

Stuff

I've had this stupid cough for months now and it will go away for a bit and then come back. Or maybe it's a different cough. This one is nasty anyway and I don't like it.

Went to see Shrek 2 today. I loved it! Especially Puss in Boots. I want a Puss icon. Anyone got any I can share? Alas, I hear stuff happened at the end of the credit but we couldn't stay because all these little kids wanted us to move so they could go to the toilet. Meh! Will just have to go and see it againt then ;)

Mum-Ra has kindly bought me a dining set for the Pad as an early birthday present. It's just a basic pine table with 4 chairs but it will be nice to have somewhere to sit down for dinner instead of eating with a plate in my lap

No other news really. Going to head to bed now so I can enjoy the thrills of work tomorrow :-S
