Walking to work when there's half an inch of sheer ice on the ground is NOT fun!

Brr!

We appear to be suffering from all the coldness of the winter, without actually getting any snow to prevent me from going to work. As you may have seen from my post this morning it was VERY icy and took me over an hour to walk in. Nearly fell several times and was altogether not amused

If it snows then I can legitimately refuse to go to work, but it looks set to just freeze again tonight.

Well, I suppose if I slip and break my leg tomorrow it'll get me off work for a lot longer than a day or two...

When is summer due? I want summer!

I think I'm going to spend the rest of the evening huddled under several blankets in bed, armed with my trusty pen and notebook

One last post before bed

Every night I walk home from work with all these plans of things to do when I get home and every night I'm too tired and just sit in front of my PC for a couple of hours before crawling off to bed. It's quite tragic really

On a totally unrealted note, I'm glad to see Lost In Translation is up for a bunch of Oscars. I loved it and should really thank jazz_police for forcing me to watch it with him

Right, bedtime now, even though it isn't even 9pm yet. Tragic....

It's like living with a small child

As soon as I mentioned to Tom it was snowing he insisted we have a snowball fight. He then attempted to teach me how to 'throw like a bloke' but gave up when he realised he was getting nowhere

It was bound to happen

My parents have finally realised I can be useful and have roped me into house-sitting for them for 3 weeks while they go on holiday. Means I'm going to have to commute to work again. Fun.

Still, they do have broadband and they're taking the dog with them so it's not all bad. Me, the kitties and broadband. Not bad at all

Plus, because I'm on a flexi system I can take 2 days off for each of those weeks which will mean only commuting for 3 days at a time.

Yeah, I can cope with that. It's not 3 weeks altogether anyway
