Busy Bee

Just sorting out my diary and somehow my life appears to have become crazy full all of a sudden.

Today - Pirates of the Carribbean with Mum-Ra and Flickums
Tue 19th Aug - Meeting up with some old uni friends that I haven't seen since I graduated
Wed 20th Aug - Going to see Pirates of the Carribbean (again)
Thur 21st Aug - Meal at Old Orleans to bid farewell to my friend Matthew
Saturday 23 Aug - Greg's birthday bash
Wed 27th Aug - Meeting my friend Ros and we're going out for dinner
Weekend of 6th Sept - My York based birthday bash where all my friends are coming to stay
Weekend of 13th Sept - To Newcastle to celebrate mine and Jacqui's birthdays
19th Sept - My actual birthday and meal with parents
Weekend of 20th Sept - Fin's wedding

After that I think I can relax until Tom's birthday in October. Phew. Can't remember the last time I had such an active social life

Meme with a twist

wesleysgirl has created a meme where you post your fave sections from fics you have written. However, since I am my own worst critic I couldn't actually find anything which I was 100% happy with. So if any of you want to pick stuff for me go right ahead. My ego could do with a bit of fluffing and it will be interesting to see what people consider to be good

Fic sites and lists

In times past pretty much all the fics I posted on my site were ones which I found either on fanfiction.net, one of my mailing lists or ones which people submitted to me. However, now most of my lists seem to be all but dead, the quality of fics on ff.net seems to have seriously declined and people don't seem to be sending me stuff anymore.

My question: Where can I go to find a range of good quality fics? Mailing lists or sites, either will do. I just feel like the quality of my own site is declining because I'm not getting the material any more. I need to work hard to get it back up to standard

That and do some more writing myself. LOL. I'm working on it

1. Which fictional character do you see a lot of youself in and how?

Hmm....it changes quite often and whilst I wanted to avoid the Buffy characters I have to say it's Willow. Was a shy, quiet geek at school with a close circle of friends. Came out of myself a lot when I was at uni and am now really exploring who I am. But for the record I'm not gay and nor am I a powerful witch

2. Who is the greatest writer of all time and what is their ultimate masterpiece?

Oh sheesh, this is hard. God there are so many writers I love I'm not sure I can pick one. William Shakespeare - Macbeth. There we go....I'll change my mind in about five minutes

3. Is love a blessing or a curse?

Oh, a curse I would say. But then I've never been in love.

4. What makes you smile?

My friends. I love them all dearly

5. What is your favourite song of all time and why?

Again with the hardness. Nothing Compares 2 U by Sinead O'Conner. I just think it's a beautiful song
