It's a little late but I spent all of last night on the phone to various people. Ah well

1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?

Um...I'm not sure really. I suppose it would be He-Man/She-Ra. I used to watch it all the time

2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?

Understanding

3. What's the furthest from home you've been?

Italy. But in July it'll be Toronto and Florida. Not sure which of them is further from me

4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet?

Wow, there's so much I don't know where to start. Let's just keep it simple and say more foreign languages. In particular I'd like to learn Spanish, Greek, Latin, Russian and Japanese. I had a few Russian and Japanses lessons when I was in school but my exams meant I didn't have time to keep it ip.

5. What are your plans for the weekend?

As I posted yesterday I intend to do A LOT of writing. I also need to tidy the house and pay the electricity bill.

Hmm...

The problem with not writing anything for over a month is that I'm all rusty. Nothing seems to be flowing and because this fic is so old I'm finding it hard to stay in the right timeframe and not overlap with anything that happened in the future seasons.

Spoilers for the fic )

In The Wish when Giles smashes Anyanka's amulet, how come it only undos Cordy's wish and none of the others.

Theories please

Have to say that whilst I'm deeply saddened by what happened to the Columbia, I'm also relieved that they've already discarded the idea of sabotage/terrorism. The last thing we need is another excuse for going to war.

Another thing struck me whilst reading [livejournal.com profile] cousinjean's LJ. She said this:-

Anyway. The space shuttle thing is definitely a tragedy, and I feel bad for the officers' families, and dismayed for what this will probably mean for the space program, and a little weirded out over the fact that the Space Shuttle Columbia no longer exists. But then I realize that probably at this moment on some highway somewhere probably just as many lives, if not more, are being lost in car accidents that the majority of us will never hear about. The only reason this is such a big deal is because the vehicle that had the accident was the space shuttle, and the people inside were astronauts. That might sound a little callous but it's giving me the perspective I need to get on with my day.

Sad but true
