Just seen perhaps one of the most surreal things ever. Tom is Playing Tony Hawks 4 and has just unlocked one of the secret characters. Jango Fett.

That's right. Boba's dad is in fact a skater. Special moves include flying with his jet pack whilst skating and firing his blaster whilst skating

Tom is now cackling like a madman, a gleeful glint in his eye

Was sent this today if anyone is interested

I'm posting this everywhere in the Spike community so we can get as much support as possible with this campaign. :) Any support we can get is very much appreciated, but at this stage in the campaign, we're mostly interested in spreading the word through fandom. So we are making our way through fandom site by site asking if people would consider linking us to their site so we can get as much exposure as possible.

Being as that this is most likely the final season of BtVS, we thought it would be nice to publically thank James for all he's done for us as fans. Let's face it many of us would never have known about the wacky world of fandom if it weren't for James Marsters and his portrayal of Spike. I know if it weren't for James I wouldn't have met some truly wonderful people all over the world. Some of whom I suspect will continue to be life long friends, even after BtVS is but a distant memory. I mean who knew a few years ago that many of us would talk to folks on almost a daily basis from places all over the world like England, the Phillipines, Sweden, Israel, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Italy, German, the United States, etc., about this plantinum haired, punk of a vampire. I know somewhere along the line, some of the conversations on this board and other boards turned a corner and a lot of us became true friends. We've talked to each other about good times in our lives and bad times, and really, really bad times, and we bonded. It wouldn't have happened without our intial interest in this wonderful man that plays the snarky vampire that we all have a soft spot for. I want to thank him for that.

So here's the the gist of what we want to do for our next project.

It is the intention of a committee of fans to start a donation drive (campaign) to recognize James Marsters' tremendous contributions as "Spike" on the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Show. It is felt that this needs to be done prior to the end of this season/(finale) of BTVS and before the Emmys, if possible. The method is to place a full page black and white ad in "Variety Magazine" by the first of April before the show wraps for the season. Since ads are quite costly money is needed to achieve this goal. This will require between approximately $4,500 - $5,000. The SOS (Save Our Spike) site is in the process of being revamped so that it will be used for this project. A PayPal link will be placed on the site as a way of receiving the donations(contributions).

Your support of this project is very crucial. You are needed in many ways. Besides sending in a contribution it would be very helpful if you also spread the word to other fans and other fansites that you visit and tell them about this. You could also volunteer to assist by assisting with the administering of this project. All donations must be in US currency. Any donations(contributions) that are received will be nonrefundable. They are also not tax deductible. Any money that is received in excess of what is needed for the ad will be donated to a charity that James Marsters' endorses (promotes). You are invited to send in any amount that you feel you can afford for this project goal.

Keep checking this forum periodically for updates.............

We are currently looking into various charities that James supports or has supported and will post that information concerning that part of the project when we have it. As stated above, we will also have a link to PayPal set up in the next day or so, so that those of you that would like to go ahead and help us get the ball rolling can donate to the cause. PayPal will accept Canadian Dollors, Euros, Pounds Sterling and Yens. Then they will convert those into US dollars. This is a recent change. For those of you that don't like to go through PayPal and prefer to deal with money orders or checks, a P O Box address will be posted no later than Wednesday of this coming week. We would prefer that no cash be sent if at all possible.

Here's the link to the site that will eventually hold everything you could ever need to know about this project.

We also would like feedback on what you think about this project, and we would also like to hear some of your ideas concerning the appearance and wording of the ad. This is a fan effort after all. We can't do this alone. We need your help to make it happen. You can start by spreading the word throughout fandom about this project. The more people that help, the better off we will be and the faster we will be able to reach our goals.

Thank You.
