I'm going to risk sounding like a complete geek here but I really do love the internet. I've met so many amazing people here, many of whom I consider to be just as good friends as my real life ones. They give me so much love and support, whether its about fanfic/website/Buffy issues or whether it's about real life serious stuff. I just can't wait til July when I get to meet a whole bunch of them at the Buffy con. I just wish everyone I knew could go....

I'm baaack

Well, back in my own home. YAY! Thankfully the parents weren't too bad. We actually managed to have a civilised dinner last night whereby the whole family sat around the table and talked. It doesn't happen very often. I think Christmas will be bearable this year. I'm only going to be there for 4 days which is good. I can cope with that

Was SUPPOSED to start my secret slasha fic this afternoon but it didn't happen. Spent the time mindlessly surfing the music channels on Sky. I can't believe how many there are. Anyway, found myself haunted by the following songs which seemed to be on ALL the time

Eminem - Lose Yourself
Eminem - Cleaning Out The Closet
Busted - Year 3000
Avril Lavigne - Sk8er Boi

You could garantee that whenever I did a full surf of the channels one of those songs would be on one or more.

Well, back to work tomorrow and I WILL start my fic in the evening. I've only got 2 weeks to get it done and since it's a weird pairing it's going to take a lot of work.

Remember my earlier post when I was saying how lovely my internet friends are. Well here we go, proof of it if any was needed.

You all see my purdy LJ icon? That was made for me by [livejournal.com profile] silvercobwebs. Now, I barely know this person. I just posted a request for an icon in one of the communities and she made it for me. That in itself was wonderful, but then on a whim I e mailed her asking if she would mind making me some Christmas icons.

Got this in response, I don't think she'll mind me posting it.

Hils,

Hey there - yes I was the one who made your animated icon, so panic not!

I'd be happy to make you some Xmassy icons, and seeing as I've already taken my time to reply, I'll try and get them done as soon as possible! :o)

Glad you liked the other icon enough to ask for more - thanks for the compliment!

All the best,

Kirsty (silvercobwebs)

PS - I'm not a Spuffy kinda gal, but I have to admit I have a rather soft spot for your 'Fluffy Files' - it's nice to take a break from the 'reality' of the show sometimes, and yours is happily admitted fluff, but it's *well written* fluff! Congrats!

See? I mean that's just so nice! Not only did she willingly agree to make me an icon or two but she complimented my fanfic as well.

THAT is why I love my online friends. Wonderful, wonderful people
