Grrrrr

I really wish there was some way of copywriting fanfiction. Obviously it would be pointless since the characters used aren't your own which is a violation of copywrite in itself.
I'm just a bit fed up of coming across stories which are blatant rip offs of my work. At first I thought I was jsut being paranoid but I've read about four which I have shown to other people and they have agreed that they are almost identical. It's not even like it was one of my ideas that's been used, it's 3 or 4 different ones.
Some people have told me I should be flattered that people want to copy me. Well I'm not, its bloody annoying. I wouldn't mind so much if they wrote to me, asked and credited me in the fic header, but no, they claim all the credit for themselves.
Am annoyed!

Rethink

On second thoughts, something good has come from this. Have finally realised that writing fic isn't going to get me anywhere. Sure its fun, but things like getting ripped off happen all to easily. So, have decided to finish the current Buffy series I'm working on and then that's it, I'm done with fic. I might dip into it occasionally but it's time to work on my novel.
