Sunday morning 10am

I can't believe I was up until 3:30am because I couldn't stop reading Memoirs of a Geisha. I can't remember the last time a book gripped me like this.

Mum-Ra will be here shortly and we will be heading out for lunch and shopping. I don't think she's planning on staying too long. Town is hellish at this time of year and it does my claustrophobia no good.

I got my first [livejournal.com profile] merlinadvent fic back from beta yesterday which is awesome! So the plan today is to get my [livejournal.com profile] merlin_the_elf fic typed up after Mum-Ra has gone. Then I'll resume watching my shows if I have time.

Oh, and our Christmas decorations are all up. I'll take photos later.

Wow, I didn't know you had claustrophobia *makes mental note not to crowd you in* - and you live in York? Wowsers. I find Leeds bad enough during shopping seasons, and struggle to go forward at all in it... and I don't even have any sense of claustrophobia.

Though I do have a condition, who's name I can never remember, that makes me entranced by wide open spaces. Doesn't really compare, I guess.

I didn't know you had claustrophobia either!

*is a bad sister*

I have a weird thing too. Crowds I'm fine with. Small spaces I'm fine with. Lots of people in a small space? Flickums goes nuts and almost collapses :(

I only have mild claustrophobia. I don't have panic attacks or anything I just get a bit distressed and freaked out

I don't have it really bad. I just get a bit freaked out if I'm in really crowded places or really small spaces.

OH! I LOVE Memoirs. Just don't watch the movie, or if you do watch for the cinematography, which is stunning. But Memoirs the book is in my Top 5 books EVER. And I did the same thing as you, I read it and I couldn't put it down. I recall getting up early and rushing to catch the bus to work just so I could read it.

Hehe! I don't plan on watching the movie. I never watch movie adaptations of books I love because they just make me angry

I read Memoirs when it came out -- and, yeah, it was one of those books for me, too. Read it in a single day, swallowed it whole. Hated the film, but the book was beautiful.

I really wasn't expecting to get through it this quickly. It's good though. I love books that grab me like this

I loved Memoirs! I was the same way, I stayed up all night reading it.

I can't wait to see the photos! I'm cleaning house today and rearranging the furniture, to make room for a tree. I love Christmas!

I love Christmas too! Photos coming up!
