It really needs to be the weekend

I tend to reserve online blogging for fandom related squee but wow work is still kicking my ass. The frustrating thing is it doesn't need to be this way. I am just overwhelmed with people coming to me with 'urgent' requests because deadlines are for other people. The problem is, at the moment it feels like EVERYONE is ignoring the documented process we have and just doing whatever they want, which basically leaves me running around trying to herd cats.

And then their boss asked if I could change my hours because me going home is inconvenient to their flailing.

I'm fortunate that both my boss and her boss are awesome women who have my back and are kicking people's asses. I'd probably be about ready to quit otherwise.

So, watch this space. Hopefully things will improve.

But, in happier news, Hockey Road Trip continues to progress. We bought tickets for Pens vs Bruins in Pittsburgh last night so I actually get to go to CONSOL and watch the boys play :D :D :D

And we have pretty decent seats too!



This is row V and we're actually sitting in row S so we'll be a bit further forward than this. I'm so excited!

I'm really glad you work for supportive people who have your back. That truly makes all the difference. (Not that I'd currently know from personal experience, but I vaguely remember working for great bosses like that, LOL.) Hopefully things get less stressful for you soon, and at least in the meantime you have a con to escape to and unwind for a few days. :)

Every time you post that pic of the CONSOL, I flail. A lot. :D :D :D WE ARE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN IT'S GOING TO BE DISGUSTINGLY AWESOME.

I know! My boss quickly pointed out that with the amount of nonsense going around I'd have to work 7am to 10pm just to keep everyone happy. It went quiet after that :D
