I never use Sendspace, and have a paid MU account, but that's because my old laptop had an argument with Sendspace (like woah) and MU has always been good to me.
MU. I have a paid account there, but that's because it's simply the site I prefer. Sendspace takes things down much too quickly; most posts where things have been uploaded there are all expired links, at least in my experience.
Now, that's tricky, as it depends on te moment and where are you. Right now, Megaupload is working fine for me. But there are times when I can get a single download from them. If we are not talking about big files, or you don't mind to split them, MediaFire is also a great option. People are having a lot of issues with SendSpace, mostly by antivirus which had wrong settings. Another good place for files not too big is FileFront.
