hils: (Geek Doctor by me)

It's that time of year again

Am very disappointed that Neil Morrissey isn't going to be...well, the next doctor, although I suppose I could see it coming. He was awesome and he and David bounced so well off each other.

I loved the whole cyberpunk feel to the episode.

I wouldn't mind seeing more of Rosalita though. She was quite awesome.

I was sort of expecting a preview for next series but isn't there only going to be 5 episodes or something like they're doing with Torchwood?

Overall a most excellent episode and a lot better than the last couple of Christmas episodes.

and

I would really have liked to see Austin dance again but at least Kelly was there and she came second. I do think she danced miles better than Jill but it was a Christmas special so I won't gripe too much

Somewhere along the line this series I appear to have fallen in love with Brendan. Not sure how that happened. Brian is all shades of adoreable too so I hope he's back next year.

I thought the giant cyberman was lame. Bring on Moffat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Moffat#Doctor_Who) I say.

I liked the giant cyberman

*squees*
I love David!
I love Dr. Who!
I love Brian too.
Not Brendan though...our brains have departed ways here.
Booo...no Austin :(

*flails*

No Austin. Yes, that did make me sad :(

Doctor Who + cyberpunk = WIN!

I loved it. I was hoping that David Morrissey might stay on as the new companion, coz that would be AWESOME! But ah well.

And yeah, I thought that Kelly shoudl've won, her jive was excellent (and my mum agreed too XD)

BBC wins at life today

Yes, there has been some awesome stuff on. Loved Wallace and Gromit too!

Did you get to see who the new Doctor is yet?

But I wanna knoooow!

About the next who, from wikipedia:

Following Tennant's late 2008 performances in Royal Shakespeare Company productions of Hamlet and Love's Labours Lost, four further one hour specials are to be shot, starting in January 2009. These are to be shown in 2009 and 2010, one at Easter 2009 and another on Christmas Day 2009. For practical reasons, these specials will continue to use series 4 production codes.

I wasn't really impressed with the Christmas special. :(
It kinda dragged a bit slow, and wasn't funny.
But I loved Rosita, though her name made me groan (let go of Rose already, Rusty!), and I wouldn't have minded seeing more of her.

Not all the Christmas specials are funny. The Titanic one wasn't

But, yes, RTD really needs to let go of Rose

I actually laughed quite a bit last year. And cheered and yelled. I know it's not fan favorite, but I enjoyed last year's special a lot.
Plus, it had "Alonzy Alonso", so that gets a bonus point. *g*

Hehe!

I liked The Runaway Bride and The Christmas Invasion but not really been too bothered about the other Christmas Specials

I liked this one a lot

Call me a pedant but I thought it was more steampunk than cyberpunk :p

Guilty as charged, yer honour :)

Hee! I occasionally just address him as 'woobie'. So that makes him my favourite blanket :)

[identity profile] hils.livejournal.com 2008-12-26 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it has two meanings *g*

[identity profile] padfoot-uk.livejournal.com 2008-12-26 11:54 am (UTC)(link)
...David Morrissey, right?

Neil Morrissey is like, Bob the Builder.

Hahaha!!!! Oops!

How come no one else noticed that? Hee!
