Can anyone explain why LJ sometimes squishes long threads so that they become unreadable like this. Is there any way to change the layout so it's in a straight list or something instead of indenting each time?
Yeah, there's a way to stop it from that. I have put it in my journal and whenever a thread has more than (insert number here) comments they collapse. I can't explain you how to do it right now, since a) it's late, and b) I'm not completely sober yet - somewhere in between; nasty feeling...
However, you need a theme layer and stuff... it's not so difficult. Ask me again tomorrow. Then I'll be sober enough to give you the proper code and a helping hand. :)
Oh didn't notice this before; must depend on the layout I think. I don't have so many comments in one thread in my LJ.
*checks* It's the layout - when I visited another one (it's f-locked) I saw a big thread going without icons, the others have them. And it gets smaller all the time.
