In which I talk about many things

I'm really not in the mood for my shows tonight so I am saving them tomorrow when I'm feeling all refreshed. I've got Fringe, Pushing Daisies, SPN and SV to watch.

Tonight saw the end of a dramatic week in both Hollyoaks and Corronation Street. You'd think Eastenders could have thrown in a character death too, just for good measure. I'm ignoring Emmerdale ;)

So, has anyone else been sucked into watching these awful soaps? I'm alarmed at how into Hollyoaks I've gotten. Of course it's all down to [livejournal.com profile] jacqui_hw and her obsession with Craig and John Paul. LOL!

Harry Hill's TV Burp is back tomorrow I wasn't going to watch it becaise I thought it clashed with Merlin but it actually clashes with Strictly Come Dancing. I'll probably watch Harry Hill and flick back to Strictly in the advert breaks ;)

Someone talk me out of going to Writercon 2009. I promised I'd go to [livejournal.com profile] writerconuk next year anyway and I've got Hallowhedon too. I think going to Writercon on top of both of those would be a little excessive

Oh, and it's cold now after my complaining yesterday. LOL! I had to wear my scarf today when I was walking to work

I refuse to talk you out of coming to Writercon. :)

You'll have to decide that for yourself.

Gah!

My FIL is ADDICTED to COronation STreet! And he got my BIL addicted as well. Granted we are at least a few months behind you in the airings. I had friends take a trip over your side of the pond a few years ago and they did the whole Coronation Street tours and made a video and everything!

Hee! How funny! I only watched it because it was in the news that one of the characters was going to get murdered and it was exciting ;)

Hmmm. Writercon sounds like a lot of fun, actually, and I've never been to one of those!

I helped organise the first UK version. It is a lot of fun

I was dreading Corrie this week. They drag things like this out so much, but there's really no escaping it in this household. Actually I enjoyed it, but OMG those Tony masks. At first they made me lol but in the end they were really creepy.

[identity profile] hils.livejournal.com 2008-10-18 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
Those masks WERE creepy!

Of course now we have the saga of what happened to Rosie coming up *sigh* There's no escape. LOL!

Now THAT is driving me round the bend. They couldn't be more anvilly about it if they tried. All those references to John's 'cat'.

I didn't realise he had Rosie until I read spoilers :(

But then I didn't see the events leading up to her going missing. I only watched it this week to see Liam die

They've been drawing out this plotline for quite some time. I can't actually remember a time when they weren't building up to it. But that's soaps for you.

I was so upset that Liam died. I liked him, he was hot :(

He was cute, yes.
