Today I was on a CV/interview course that we had all totally forgotten about until we got to work. I have to say that for the most part it was stuff I already knew but I am going to tweak my CV a little. It can't be bad though, given the number of phone calls I've had over the last couple of weeks.

Speaking of, the job I was waiting to hear about in Newcastle requires me to have a car so that's a no go. I decided today that I am going to stop actively seeking a new job until after I pass my test. Plenty of people have my CV now so if something comes up in the meantime then great but I think having a car will make things so much easier. It also means I can get together the money for a deposit on a new house/flat in case I have to move. I think I just got so caught up in the prospect of earning lots of money (well, who wouldn't) that I didn't think things through properly. I could have made it work but this will be easier. I've got 10 months before even the prospect of redundancy rears it's head so really I'm in no rush. I will definitely be gone by Christmas though if I have anything to do with it

I have new glasses and they look much like my old glasses so no pictures. They do magically turn into sunglasses when I'm outside though so that's cool

Going to Dave's to watch more BSG tonight. WHEE!

Yeah, but at least you are thinking about moving forward, both with jobs and the car situation. You haven't gotten yourself in feet first, and then made the discovery that you hadn't prepared.

And you have 10 months, and that's awesome!! :) Surely enough time to get all your ducks in a row.

I'm glad you're stepping back and taking a breath. It's so easy to get caught up "OMG! I must find work as soon as possible" and not really think things through (yeah, the lure of more money does that as well).

Breathe. Given the interest you've had so far, the right job will come at the right time.

PS, i forgot to say before i hit 'post', good on you for stepping back and just letting yourself be you for a bit.

i wish you a good flat-price if you have to move, and of course you know i don't even think it's necessary to wish you more awesomeness with the driving thing, because you rule too much. :D
