The plan

I am determined to get at least the handwritten version of my remix fic finished today. I think I'm about 1/3 done at the moment. We'll have to see how it goes.

In the meantime got a couple of little jobs to do first. Adios!

Books I've read this year

1. The Life of Nelson - Robert Southey
2. The Last Days of Krypton - Kevin J. Anderson
3. New X-Men - Grant Morrison
4. This Thing of Darkness - Harry Thompson
5. Hamlet - William Shakespeare
6. Superman Returns - Marv Wolfman

That was...an interesting book. LOL! There was lots of filler stuff that wasn't in the movie which I found quite interesting but some of it didn't make sense, like seeing Superman go to Krypton and it not being exploded.

They also cut stuff out which I found interesting, most notably the revelation that Jason is Superman's son. In the book Jason doesn't display any powers and the scene with Superman in Jason's bedroom is missing.

It wasn't especially well written though

Next we have A Portrait of Lord Nelson by Oliver Warner. I was quite excited last night when I found a letter tucked in this book dated October 1959. I love old books! The letter is typed, with a hand-written title encouraging the recipient to order more books from the publisher. There's a little taste of history right there. Even if the book is boring I will be hanging onto it. Could be worth something in years to come.

Bzuh?

Mum-Ra just told me that the next series of Torchwood is only going to have 5 episodes because of John Barrowman's work schedule. Apparently they're going to show the episodes every day over a week-long period

Anyone else hear this?
