hils | It's finale day

I wish I could bring myself to be excited about the finale but quite frankly my expectations are low. The episode is penned by Kripke and I still haven't quite got over the epic letdown that was Swan Song. Kripke, to me, suffers from the same problem that RTD used to when he penned episodes of Doctor Who. Good ideas poorly executed. I am almost certain that if Kripke had given a basic plot summary of Swan Song to Ben Edlund we'd have had something glorious.

Obviously I have a lot of respect for Kripke for creating the show in the first place, but I don't think he's the second coming like a lot of fandom seems to.

This is why I get kind of narked when I see people giving Sera Gamble a hard time. I'm not saying S6 is perfect but to me it's no worse than S5 in terms of pacing and story. I've been quite shocked and disgusted by some of the language used to describe her this year.

So, back to the finale. I only have one concern really and it has nothing to do with Cas.

So Cindy Sampson said Lisa will be back for the finale. I have horrible fears about Lisa being killed and Dean having to adopt Ben.

I have no basis for these fears but if it happens I will actually seriously consider whether I watch the show next year.

It's like when BtVS introduced Dawn to the show.
